Who we are

Caddie Eye is published by Austin Avenue Enterprises LLC, doing business as Austin Avenue Apps ("we," "us"), based in Austin, Texas, United States. This policy applies to the Caddie Eye mobile app on iOS and Android, which is currently available in the United States and Canada.

The short version

  • Your swing videos are analyzed on your phone and are never uploaded to us.

  • Your swing analysis, history and settings are stored only on your device.

  • There are no accounts. We don't ask for your name, email or any other contact details.

  • We collect anonymous usage analytics that are not tied to your identity.

  • Payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google.

  • We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.

Your videos and swing analysis stay on your device

When you choose a swing video, Caddie Eye processes it on your device. Your videos, the results of each analysis (measurements, coaching feedback and session history) and your app settings are kept in the app's private storage on your phone. None of this is sent to us or to any third party.

Caddie Eye uses your phone's standard system picker to let you choose a video, so the app only receives the clip you select and does not access the rest of your photo library.

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand how the app is used and to improve it, we use PostHog, a product analytics service. When you use Caddie Eye, the app may send PostHog information such as:

  • Which features and screens are used, and whether an analysis completes successfully

  • App version, device model and operating system version

  • A randomly generated identifier for your installation of the app

  • An approximate, country- or region-level location derived from your network connection

This information is not linked to your identity. We don't send your name, email address, videos, images or swing results to PostHog, and we don't use analytics data to track you across other companies' apps or websites. PostHog processes this data on our behalf as a service provider, and it may be stored on servers in the United States.

Subscriptions and purchases

Caddie Eye offers subscriptions and in-app purchases. All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), depending on your device. We never receive your payment card details, billing address or app store account credentials.

The app receives only what it needs from Apple or Google to confirm which plan you have and what you're entitled to. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings, and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.

What we don't collect

We don't collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, precise location, contacts, health information or advertising identifiers. We don't sell, rent or share your personal information, we don't show ads, and we don't use your videos or swing data to train machine learning models.

How long we keep data

On your device: Your videos, analyses and settings remain on your phone until you delete them in the app or uninstall Caddie Eye.

Analytics: Anonymous usage data is retained only as long as it is useful for improving the app, and then deleted.

Your choices and rights

Because your swing data never leaves your device, you're always in control of it: deleting a swing in the app, or uninstalling the app, permanently removes that data. We have no copy to delete.

Depending on where you live, including under Canadian privacy law and certain U.S. state laws, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Since analytics data is not linked to your identity, we may not be able to match it to you, but we will help where we can. To make a request, email support@caddieeye.com.

Children

Caddie Eye is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Your swing data is kept in the app's private storage, protected by your device's built-in security. Data sent to our analytics provider is transmitted over encrypted connections.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
